Liverpool prepare Nicolas Gaitan move?

Liverpool are reportedly ready to spend a large chunk of their transfer budget on Benfica winger Nicolas Gaitan.

Liverpool have reportedly identified Benfica winger Nicolas Gaitan as one of their main transfer targets of the summer.

The Merseyside club have already made four signings during the transfer window, but according to The Metro, last season's Premier League runners-up are ready to continue their spending spree.

Armed with the £75m that they have received for striker Luis Suarez, Liverpool are believed to be prepared to pay in the region of £30m for Gaitan, who has attracted interest for several European clubs.

The Argentine player has a release clause of £35.6m, but manager Brendan Rodgers is said to be confident of securing his signature for less than the Portuguese club's desired fee.
