Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic set for January loan exit

The agent of Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic confirms that his client wants to leave the club on loan in January, but is only interested in joining another English team.

The agent of Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic has confirmed that his client could leave the club on loan during the January transfer window.

Grujic has made just one EFL Cup start for the Reds so far this season and only five appearances across all competitions, and his first-team opportunities are likely to be further limited by the return of Adam Lallana from injury.

Grujic's agent Zoran Stojadinovic is eager to seal a temporary departure from Anfield when the transfer window reopens, but stressed that he will only consider moves to another English club.

"Grujic has to go somewhere in January in a loan, in the team where he will play. It must be an English club, so as not to make a mistake like Lazar Markovic did. Had Lazar been my client, I would never advise him to leave England," Stojadinovic told Serbian publication Blic.

"He changed the country, the style of football, the temperament, the climate, and therefore his return to Liverpool was an impossible mission. To return to Grujic, he is very much appreciated in Liverpool and therefore he did not go anywhere because they did not want to let him go.

"But he needs more minutes in the field and that's why the loan is the best solution for him in January to return to Liverpool after his return to the starting line."

Grujic is yet to make a single Premier League start for Liverpool since joining the club from Red Star Belgrade last summer.
