Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet says that his own future is not important while the Reds prepare for Saturday's Champions League final.

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has insisted that his future is not important while the Reds prepare for Saturday's Champions League final against Real Madrid.

Mignolet has not featured for the Merseyside club since losing his number one position to Loris Karius at the end of January.

The 30-year-old is being tipped to leave Anfield in this summer's transfer window, but the Belgium international is not prepared to discuss his future in the build-up to the European Cup final in Kiev.

"No individual is bigger than the team, especially when you have the final of the Champions League to play," Mignolet told reporters. "Even more so you have to play the part the club, the players and supporters need because in the end if you play for a trophy like that any individual is not important.

"That's not really something I am thinking of (could he leave this summer). I have three years of a contract. There will be a lot of speculation about my name because I am not playing but I am not really thinking about it."

Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in recent days.
