Barcelona have reportedly decided against reviving their interest in Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho ahead of the January transfer window.
The Catalan giants were left disappointed in their long-running pursuit of the Brazilian playmaker during the summer window, eventually admitting defeat on Spanish deadline day.
It was widely reported that Barca would merely delay making a fresh offer for Coutinho until the New Year, having already had three bids knocked back in recent weeks, but Spanish outlet Sport suggests that the transfer saga is now at an end.
Barcelona will instead go all out to sign Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, who emerged as a target in the summer after it became apparent that Liverpool would refuse to budge on their not-for-sale stance.
Coutinho has yet to feature for Liverpool this season due to a minor injury, but he is expected to play a part in Wednesday evening's Champions League tie against Sevilla.
