Liverpool and Everton are both reportedly interested in signing Sampdoria goalkeeper Sergio Romero in the January transfer window.
The stopper impressed for Argentina at the 2014 World Cup and was linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer.
However, according to talkSPORT, Liverpool and Everton will go head-to-head for the 27-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of this season.
Romero, who has been with Sampdoria since 2011, spent last season on loan at Monaco, but struggled for first-team football at the French outfit.
The goalkeeper has gained 54 caps for his country.
