Report: Swansea City want Joe Allen reunion

Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen is reportedly an £8m transfer target of his former club Swansea City.

Premier League strugglers Swansea City have reportedly made a move to re-sign Joe Allen from Liverpool.

The midfielder swapped South Wales for Merseyside in a deal thought to be worth around £15m four years ago.

He recently scored a last-minute equaliser in the 3-3 draw with Arsenal, but his starting opportunities have been limited since Jurgen Klopp took charge at Anfield in October.

It is believed that the 25-year-old is determined to fight for his future at Liverpool, but according to The Sun, Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins is still keen to lure him back to the Liberty Stadium.

The report adds that the Swans are prepared to pay £8m for their academy product.

During his first spell with Swansea, Allen scored seven goals from his 150 appearances in all competitions.
