Robert Lewandowski insists that he remains totally focused on his endeavours with Bayern Munich amid speculation surrounding a Premier League move.

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has insisted that he has no need to "prove himself" in another country amid speculation surrounding a Premier League transfer.

The Poland international's future with the Bundesliga champions has been called into question recently, with his existing deal in Bavaria due to expire in 2023.

Lewandowski has been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid, but the 33-year-old has now played down talk of an imminent exit from Bayern Munich.

Addressing the media after collecting the European Golden Shoe, Lewandowski said: "I don't have to prove myself in another league.

"I can compete with the best from other leagues in the Champions League. I am 100% focused on Bayern Munich, I don't think about anything else but my team. I am still here - and I will be here for a long time!

"Age, these are just numbers. I feel very good, I have the best stats I've ever had. I know that with my body I can play at the top level for years to come. I'm like a good wine and I hope to get even better."

Lewandowski already boasts 11 goals from seven appearances in all competitions this term, which has taken his overall tally to 305 strikes from 336 games in a Bayern shirt.
