Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers hopeful of more signings

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers confirms that he still hopes to bring in more players before the start of the season.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that he is still keen on signing more players before the start of the season.

The Reds have added six new faces to their squad already this summer, including Adam Lallana, Divock Origi and Emre Can.

However, Rodgers insisted on Sunday that the club would not be bringing AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli to Anfield.

When asked if there was any news on potential further signings, Rodgers told reporters: "Nothing as of yet on any linked player. We've still got a few bits and pieces we'd like to do to solidify the group, but no names or definite signings as of yet."

Liverpool return to action tonight (Monday) when they face Manchester United in Miami in the final of the International Champions Cup.
