Kolo Toure considering Liverpool exit as he wants to "play more"

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure reiterates that he is considering his future due to the lack of playing time at Anfield.

Kolo Toure has reiterated that he is considering leaving Liverpool this summer because he desires to get more minutes on the pitch.

The defender, who moved to Anfield from Manchester City on a free transfer in 2013, has started just once for manager Brendan Rodgers since February.

The 34-year-old will come to the end of his contract in the summer, and reports have suggested that Toure is one of eight players facing the Anfield exit door.

"It's been a difficult season for all the team and everyone at the club as we haven't done as well as last season," Toure told the Liverpool Echo.

"For me, there's a decision to be taken. I am looking around and seeing what's best for my family. I'm talking with my wife to see what that decision will be. I'm a competitor and I want to play more."

Liverpool are expected to finish outside of the Champions League spots this season as they are currently four points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
