Manchester City are preparing to offer Arsenal £30m to sign midfielder Jack Wilshere, according to reports.
Arsene Wenger recently stated that he would not sell Wilshere following speculation that Manchester City were interested in the player, but The Mirror claims that the reigning Premier League champions could be set to ignore Wenger and make an offer for the player.
The 23-year-old still has three years remaining on his contract, but Arsenal now want to offer Wilshere an improved deal to keep him at the club.
Manchester City have signed Emmanuel Adebayor, Kolo Toure, Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri and Bacary Sagna from Arsenal over the last five seasons.
