The 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault last month following the League Two club's end-of-season awards.
Teammate Shaun Whalley, who was also arrested, has left the club by mutual consent. The duo have been bailed until June 2.
Defender Danny Fitzsimons has also departed Kenilworth Road by mutual consent.
