Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini believes that his side's late victory over Villarreal this evening has left Group A wide open.
Mancini's City looked to be heading for a draw with their Spanish opponents at the Etihad Stadium until substitute Sergio Aguero struck ten seconds from time.
"I said before that it was important to win this game," Mancini told Sky Sports News.
"I think [Aguero's] was an important goal because now everything is re-opened in the group, including top spot."
In the other Group A match, leaders Bayern Munich were held to a 1-1 draw by Napoli.
