Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero hails Everton counterpart Romelu Lukaku as "the complete package".

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has hailed Everton counterpart Romelu Lukaku ahead of the two sides' clash at the Etihad on Saturday.

Former Chelsea forward Lukaku is the Toffees' top scorer so far this season, with his return of five goals from six games helping Ronald Koeman's side to fifth in the table.

"I think Lukaku is the full package," Aguero, who also has five goals to his name this season, told the City website. "He can play well all over the field and he's got excellent aerial game."

The Argentine went on to admit that he has been impressed by Everton's form since Koeman's appointment as Roberto Martinez's successor over the summer.

"[His] arrival was a big boost for them," he added. "I believe that he was able to strengthen the areas that Roberto Martinez had developed, regardless of their performances last season.

"This season, they've made a superb start and that's why the Premier League is such an appealing prospect to any player.

"I expect Everton to have a really good season and this has never been an easy fixture for us over the years and we expect nothing less this time around."

City - currently one point clear at the top of the table - have won seven of their last eight meetings with their Merseyside rivals.
