Mario Balotelli is reportedly ready to seek professional help in order to save his Manchester City career.
It has been claimed that the Italian striker, who is currently serving a three-match suspension, will see a psychiatrist in attempt to cure the explosive temper that has seen grab the headlines on numerous occasions since joining City in 2010.
"Mario doesn't want to leave City but accepts he needs to get some help. By his own admission he is completely out of control," a friend of the 21-year-old's is said to have told The Sun.
"He's even prepared to get professional help to sort his head out. He has enormous talent but he's in serious danger of destroying his career.
"He is seriously concerned and realises he needs to address his problems or face the boot."
Balotelli will not be available for selection again until the Manchester derby at the end of this month.
