Carlos Tevez did not refuse to play for Manchester City during their Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich, according to his advisor Kia Joorabchian.
The Argentine striker is currently serving a two-week suspension for allegedly disobeying manager Roberto Mancini's orders at the Allianz Arena.
However, Tevez has since denied those claims, a view which Joorabchian has now backed up.
"One thing you can't criticise him for is his commitment when he's on the pitch," Joorabchian told the Leaders in Football conference in London. "You can never criticise him for not wanting to play."
Joorabchian also blamed the club's interpretor for causing confusion during Tevez's post-match interview in Germany.
