Roberto Mancini: 'I am the best manager in England'

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini insists that his track record makes him the best manager in England.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has hit out at rumours his job is at stake and made the bold claim that he is the "best manager in England".

The Italian insists that his record over the last 15 months speaks for itself and makes him the top coach in the Premier League.

"Someone said for six months that Manchester City would change their manager and [Pep] Guardiola would come in," talkSPORT quotes him as saying.

"After Guardiola went to Bayern Munich another manager [is being linked]. They don't have a very good memory, because in the last 15 months I'm the best manager in England because I've one Premier League, one FA Cup and one Charity Shield.

"There is not another manager like me and I understand I can do nothing [about the rumours] but this is the reality."

Reports ahead of City's FA Cup clash with Leeds United suggested that Mancini would be outed if his team failed to secure victory.

The Premier League Champions thrashed Neil Warnock's side 4-0 to advance to the quarter-finals.
