Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has claimed that he treated Carlos Tevez "too well".
The striker recently told an Argentinian chat show that he was treated "like a dog" by his manager during their bust-up last year when he allegedly refused to play against Bayern Munich.
Tevez is now back training with the City squad after returning to his native Argentina without the club's permission.
"I totally disagree with Carlos, what he said," Mancini told reporters. "Because I never treated him badly.
"Maybe the opposite - I treated him too well, always."
Tevez will not feature for City in their Europa League match in Porto on Thursday.
