Man City boss Roberto Mancini reiterates his belief that the title race is still over despite closing the gap to just two points.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has reiterated his belief that his side are out of the title race, claiming that it is "not important" how rivals Manchester United get on.

Mancini watched on as Carlos Tevez netted a hat-trick in City's 6-1 win over Norwich to close the gap at the top of the league to just two points.

However, the City boss is adamant that the title race is still over.

"It's finished," Mancini told Sky Sports News.

When asked whether he thought United could drop points against Aston Villa or Everton in their next two games, the Italian said: "It's not important now. We should continue like this. We should score, we should win if possible."

City's next match comes a week tomorrow when they face struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers before the Manchester derby on April 30.
