Alvaro Negredo is confident that the Manchester City supporters will quickly take to new manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo is confident that the club's supporters will enjoy new manager Manuel Pellegrini's style of football.

The Chilean coach arrived at the Etihad stadium following the dismissal of fan-favourite Roberto Mancini, who helped guide City to their first Premier League title in 44 years during his time at the club.

Despite Pellegrini being inexperienced in England, Negredo is confident that the fans will take to the former Malaga boss.

"He plays attacking, risk-taking football with a lot of possession of the ball," he told the Manchester Evening News. "All fans like that kind of football, so I am sure City fans will take to his team."

Negredo signed for City this summer along with Fernandinho, Jesus Navas and Stevan Jovetic.
