David Platt: 'It's just like watching Barcelona'

Manchester City assistant David Platt believes that the side has an attacking threat equal to that of Barcelona.

Manchester City assistant coach David Platt has said that the side has an attacking threat equal to Barcelona after their 3-2 win against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

Goals from Edin Dzeko, David Silva and Yaya Toure have kept the Blues five points clear of local rivals Manchester United at the top of the Premier League table.

"The only time I have seen attacking like that is when I watch Barcelona on TV," said Platt.

"We have won the game because we have scored three more goals.

"We feel as though there are goals in the team. Even at 1-0 down, even if it had gone to 2-0, I knew we were not out of it because we have such a goal threat about us."

City host third place Newcastle United after the international break.
