Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester City could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash with Everton.

Manchester City hope to have Sergio Aguero available for his Etihad Stadium farewell against Everton on Sunday afternoon.

The Argentina international has missed the games with Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion with a minor muscular issue.

However, with the club-record scorer departing after next week's Champions League final, Pep Guardiola is keen to get Aguero in his side this weekend.

Guardiola will likely name a weakened starting lineup with the clash against Chelsea next week in mind, meaning that Aymeric Laporte and Nathan Ake may link up in defence.

Joao Cancelo was sent off in the surprise loss to Brighton and will therefore serve a ban for this final league game of 2020-21, so Kyle Walker is expected to fill in at right-back.

Benjamin Mendy may get the nod on the opposite side, while Oleksandr Zinchenko is another option in that position.

Another big selection decision Guardiola has to make is in central midfield, where Kevin De Bruyne is in need of some minutes, either as a starter or from the bench.

There is unlikely to be a place in the side for Ilkay Gundogan, however, after he limped off against Brighton with a minor problem.

Man City possible starting lineup: Ederson; Walker, Laporte, Ake, Mendy; De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Rodrigo; Torres, Aguero, Sterling
