The agent of Galatasaray midfielder Felipe Melo has claimed that Manchester City are interested in the player.
The Brazil international has rebuilt his career on loan with the Turkish side following a largely disappointing spell with Juventus, and the player's representative Jose Rodrigo Baster has said that City are keen on his client.
"[Manchester] City are interested in Melo, the club have made no secret of this and I am free to inform you about this latest development," Baster is quoted as saying on Turkish-Football.com.
"I don't want to give the name but I can speak about the offer we have received from England. I love Galatasaray fans, Fatih Terim and the team but the board did the same thing last season [by failing to make the loan permanent].
"Also they had a buy-out clause agreement with Juventus until April 30, 2013. I don't want to be disrespectful but I can't understand what's going on and I am quite upset about the situation."
Melo has won two Turkish titles during his loan stay in Istanbul.
