Bayern Munich are reportedly prepared to meet the £62.5m release clause for Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri, who is also interesting Manchester City.

Bayern Munich have reportedly remained in the race to sign Rodri, despite Manchester City appearing to be favourites to secure a deal for the Atletico Madrid midfielder.

After spending just one campaign at Wanda Metropolitano, Rodri is said to be ready to leave Atletico this summer after interest from City and Bayern.

The Premier League champions had emerged as the most likely destination for the 22-year-old after indicating that they were willing to pay the player's £62.5m release clause.

However, according to AS, Bayern are also happy to meet the same requirements as they look to add fresh faces to their squad ahead of the new season.

The report adds that Rodri is yet to make a final decision, leaving City to wait on whether they have finally secured a long-term replacement for Fernandinho.
