Report: Frank Lampard keen to stay at Manchester City for rest of season

Frank Lampard is reportedly keen to stay at Manchester City for the rest of the season, despite originally planning to join up with New York City FC in January.

Frank Lampard is reportedly keen to remain at Manchester City on loan for the rest of the season before joining up with MLS side New York City FC.

The former Chelsea star originally agreed to move to the United States in January, but reports have claimed that City want to extend the midfielder's temporary deal.

While Lampard has played down the prospect of staying at the Etihad Stadium, it is understood that the 36-year-old is very keen to prolong his loan, according to the Daily Star.

Lampard has scored five goals in 11 appearances.
