Ferguson wants two wins against Otelul Galati

Alex Ferguson says his side must win their next two Champions League games against Romanian side Otelul Galati.

Sir Alex Ferguson has told his players that they need to win both legs against Otelul Galati in the Champions League.

United have got off to a slow start in the competition, garnering just two points from their first two games after draws with Benfica and Basel.

Now the Devils face Romanian outfit Otelul Galati twice in a row - first away tomorrow (Tuesday), then at home at the start of next month.

"We need to win both games [against Galati] and hopefully we'll do that," Ferguson told the club's official website. "And we'll hope for one of two things from the other teams - either they both draw or one wins both games. We don't want them to win a game each as the group would then be very tight."

The manager admitted that he had "never heard of" Galati prior to the tournament but has since done his homework.

"I had no idea where they were from," he said. "I don't know if they've changed their name like a lot of European teams but I'd never heard of them.

"We know plenty now and know enough about them. We've got all the videos on them."

After their Champions League fixture, United take on top-of-the-table rivals City in the league at the weekend.
