Sunday's FA Cup predictions including Liverpool vs. Norwich

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's FA Cup fixtures, including Liverpool vs. Norwich.

West Brom vs. Wolves (Sunday, 11.45am)

Ending a Black Country derby hiatus lasting nearly three years, long-time rivals West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers face off at The Hawthorns on Sunday, with a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup up for grabs.

The Baggies made light work of Aldershot Town to reach the fourth round, while Gary O'Neil's men eliminated fellow Premier League side Brentford from the competition after a replay.

We say: West Bromwich Albion 0-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers

For all of their road woes, West Brom have often managed to rectify such mistakes in front of the Hawthorns faithful and need no added incentive to right the wrongs of their Norwich defeat against the bitterest of rivals.

Breaking down O'Neil's rigid defensive structure will be a tall order given their handful of absentees, though, and was the case as the Amex, we can envisage Wolves frustrating their hosts but also capitalising on their defensive vulnerabilities to reach round five and snap their harrowing Hawthorns streak.

Watford vs. Southampton (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Watford and Southampton take a break from Championship action as they square off in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday.

While Watford currently sit in ninth place in the second tier, Southampton are third having compiled one of the longest ongoing unbeaten streaks in the top five divisions of English football.

We say: Watford 1-3 Southampton

With both teams expected to make changes, there is more of an unpredictability regarding the final outcome. Nevertheless, we cannot back against Southampton against any of the EFL clubs right now, even though they may have to showcase their superior class in the second half.

Liverpool vs. Norwich (Sunday, 2.30pm)

Fresh from advancing to the 2023-24 EFL Cup final, Liverpool resume their quadruple quest when Norwich City arrive at Anfield for their FA Cup fourth-round tie on Sunday.

The Reds bested Arsenal 2-0 in their opening fixture of the tournament, while their Championship counterparts sent Bristol Rovers packing courtesy of a replay.

We say: Liverpool 3-0 Norwich City

Liverpool have made a habit of falling short against Championship teams at Anfield in the FA Cup, but faced with a side whom they have not lost to in over three decades, Klopp's men should avoid a repeat of unwanted history.

Furthermore, Norwich have not kept a single clean sheet away from home since the end of August, and the Canaries are unlikely to put up much of a fight in this fourth-round affair, which should be a foregone conclusion from the get-go.

Newport vs. Man Utd (Sunday, 4.30pm)

All eyes will be on Rodney Parade for Newport County's FA Cup fourth-round glamour tie on Sunday, as the League Two outfit bid to become the latest masterminds of a giant killing against Manchester United.

Graham Coughlan's team saw off Eastleigh 3-1 in a third-round replay to earn a dream date with the Red Devils, who ran out 2-0 winners over Wigan Athletic earlier this month.

We say: Newport County 0-3 Manchester United

With nothing to lose and everything to gain, Newport County are not to be underestimated in front of a bouncing home crowd, especially with the Exiles developing a streak of resilience at Rodney Parade.

Ten Hag left nothing up to chance with a strong XI for the meeting with Wigan, though, and in spite of the Red Devils' well-documented issues on the field, we do not anticipate any surprises being sprung in Wales.
