Cristiano Ronaldo's record vs. Everton

Sports Mole looks at Cristiano Ronaldo's record against Everton ahead of Manchester United's Premier League clash with the Toffees.

Cristiano Ronaldo is again expected to lead the Manchester United line when the Red Devils continue their Premier League campaign at home to Everton on Saturday afternoon.

The 36-year-old scored a last-gasp winner against Villarreal in the Champions League on Wednesday night to make it five goals in five appearances since returning to the English giants.

Ronaldo has three goals in three Premier League outings since re-signing for the club, meanwhile, and the Portugal international will be determined to add to his tally against Everton this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the attacker has fared against the Toffees in the past.

All 12 of Ronaldo's appearances against Everton came during his first spell at Man United, and he has an impressive record versus the Toffees, recording eight wins, three draws and suffering just the single defeat.

The Portuguese has found the back of the net on five occasions against the Merseyside giants, in addition to providing three assists.

Four of Ronaldo's goals against Everton came in the Premier League and arguably his finest performance against the club came during the 2007-08 season, when he scored a brace in a 2-1 success at Old Trafford.

The former Sporting Lisbon youngster actually failed to register against the Toffees at Goodison Park in the league during his first spell with the 20-time English champions.

Indeed, all four of his Premier League strikes against the Merseyside team came at Old Trafford, and the fact that he has lost just one of his 12 outings against Everton should mean that the veteran is full of confidence, with Man United looking to return to winning ways in the league this weekend.
