How Manchester United could line up against Tottenham Hotspur

Sports Mole looks at how an in-form Manchester United could line up for their Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur, with Paul Pogba expected to be fit.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that he will come up against his first real test as interim Manchester United boss when his side face Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Sunday.

The Norwegian has won five from five so far, and another victory this weekend would give him the best start of any United manager in history, surpassing Sir Matt Busby's previous record.

However, Solskjaer comes up against the man who is favourite to get the United job on a permanent basis in Mauricio Pochettino, whose Tottenham side are still in the Premier League title race.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Red Devils could line up at Wembley.

Out: Eric Bailly (suspended), Marcos Rojo (unspecified)
Doubtful: Chris Smalling (foot), Alexis Sanchez (hamstring), Paul Pogba (leg)

Solskjaer has confirmed that Paul Pogba will be fit to play against Spurs, having delayed his trip out to the club's warm-weather training camp to continue his recovery from a leg injury sustained against Newcastle United.

The World Cup winner is likely to be one of a host of first-team players to return to the fold following the FA Cup win over Reading last weekend, with the likes of Jesse Lingard, David de Gea, Nemanja Matic and Luke Shaw all expected to come back in.

Alexis Sanchez made his first start since November in that match but was forced off after 64 minutes due to a hamstring problem, and even if he recovers in time for this weekend he is unlikely to beat Anthony Martial to a starting spot.

Solskjaer is blessed with having two strikers in good goalscoring form, but he is understood to have informed Marcus Rashford that he will be his main man ahead of Romelu Lukaku, who is set to start on the bench once again.

Eric Bailly remains suspended while the match could come too soon for Eric Bailly, so Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof are likely to be the centre-back partnership once again.
