Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Arsenal

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's Premier League clash with Arsenal.

Potentially under the tutelage of Ralf Rangnick, Manchester United welcome old foes Arsenal to Old Trafford for Thursday's Premier League battle.

The Red Devils managed to take a point from their clash with Chelsea last time out, as Jadon Sancho capitalised on a Jorginho error before the Italian restored parity from the spot.

Michael Carrick has now overseen two positive showings to see his side sit eighth in the Premier League table, but it remains to be seen who will be in the home dugout this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the team's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Paul Pogba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Paul Pogba continues to nurse a thigh injury sustained during the international break and is set to remain sidelined for the remainder of the calendar year.

Raphael Varane

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: December 5 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Raphael Varane is highly unlikely to be passed fit for the visit of Arsenal due to his hamstring issue, and he will instead target a return for Sunday's battle with Crystal Palace.

Luke Shaw

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Concussion
Possible return date: December 2 (vs. Arsenal)

Luke Shaw was forced to sit out the draw with Chelsea due to a suspected concussion, and it remains to be seen if the left-back will be given the green light to line up on Thursday.

Edinson Cavani

Status: Out
Type of injury: Tendon
Possible return date: December 5 (vs. Palace)

The injury-plagued Edinson Cavani continues to struggle with tendon problems and was not fit to face Chelsea, so he is not expected to be at United's disposal this week.

MAN UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Harry Maguire served a one-game ban in midweek following his red card against Watford, meaning that Man United have no players suspended for this match.
