Nicky Butt 'to remain part of Manchester United setup'

Nicky Butt will reportedly continue in his academy role at Manchester United.

Nicky Butt will reportedly remain part of the Manchester United setup next season.

The 'Class of '92' graduate will continue in his role with the club's youth academy under new manager Louis van Gaal, according to the Daily Mail.

Butt served as assistant to Ryan Giggs at the tail end of last season after the Welshman was appointed as interim boss, but it was thought that Van Gaal could overhaul the existing setup in favour of bringing in his own backroom staff.

Phil Neville, deputy to former manager David Moyes, is said to be in the dark about whether he will have a role at Old Trafford next season.
