Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that striker Dimitar Berbatov will have a chance to prove his worth in the first team.
The Bulgarian was joint top scorer in the Premier League last season, but has only made one substitute appearance this year on the opening day at West Brom.
So far this season the 30-year-old has fallen below Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck in the pecking order.
"It is hard because of the number of strikers we have," said Ferguson.
"Michael Owen is there, Federico Macheda, Mame Biram Diouf. Danny Welbeck won't be back next week but probably the week after. It is not easy.
"Dimitar has been training terrific. His attitude is spot on. He will get his game time as the season wears on. There is no question about that."
United next host Chelsea for a Premier League clash on Sunday.
