Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has expressed his disappointment over the club's failure to sign Dimitar Berbatov.
The Bulgarian striker was poised to join the Italian club from Manchester United, but opted to remain in England and sign for Fulham instead.
Berbatov's decision sparked a fierce backlash from Fiorentina, but Prade has now described the player as his "biggest regret".
"He said on 28th July he wanted to join Fiorentina, but he changed his mind. He is our biggest regret," he wrote on Twitter.
Berbatov signed a two-year contract with Fulham.
