PSV Eindhoven's Hector Moreno apologises for leg-breaking tackle on Luke Shaw

PSV Eindhoven defender Hector Moreno apologises to Luke Shaw for the challenge that broke the Manchester United player's leg.

PSV Eindhoven centre-back Hector Moreno has apologised for his tackle on Luke Shaw during the Dutch side's 2-1 win over Manchester United, a challenge that left the Red Devils defender with a broken leg.

The Mexican, who suffered a broken leg himself while representing his country at last summer's World Cup finals, has admitted that he feels guilty for inflicting the same injury on Shaw.

"I know how it feels, I know how difficult such a thing," he told SBS6. "I feel very bad about it, I am so sorry."

United boss Louis van Gaal hit out at Moreno in the wake of the match, describing his challenge on Shaw as a "very bad tackle".

Shaw is expected to be out of action for a minimum of six months.
