Javier Hernandez vows to work even harder to get himself out of his current goal drought with Manchester United.

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has refused to let his recent goal drought hamper his confidence.

The 23-year-old is currently on a run of five matches without finding the net - his longest lean spell since joining the Red Devils in 2010.

However, Hernandez has vowed to work even harder to improve on his recent scoring record.

"There are different circumstances because I have had more injuries this season than last year, but I am still enjoying it," he told the club's official website. "In the first season, not only the defenders but also the coaches didn't know me.

"But good players like Wayne [Rooney], [Robin] van Persie and [Didier] Drogba have been here five, six years or more and still play at the same high level.

"I need to keep working to do the same."

Hernandez has scored six league goals this season from 16 appearances.
