Dimitar Berbatov is seen leaving Old Trafford with his foot in a cast after suffering an ankle injury during Manchester United's Carling Cup defeat to Crystal Palace.

Injury concerns surround Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov following the Red Devils' quarter-final exit from the Carling Cup.

The Bulgarian was substituted at half time after he landed awkwardly on his right ankle in the first 45 minutes of the cup clash against Crystal Palace.

The 30-year-old was spotted leaving Old Trafford after the game wearing a protective cast.

The Premier League holders suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Championship side after extra time.
