Manchester United boss David Moyes quiet on Wayne Rooney availability

David Moyes gives no indication as to whether Wayne Rooney will feature in tomorrow's Premier League clash against Sunderland.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has given no indication as to whether striker Wayne Rooney will be fit for tomorrow's match against Sunderland.

The 27-year-old missed the Red Devils' 1-1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday due to a shin injury he suffered in training.

Despite Moyes previously claiming that it was not a serious problem, the Scotsman has neither confirmed nor denied whether Rooney will play a part in the match at the Stadium of Light.

"I've not seen Wayne this morning so I couldn't give you an update yet," Moyes said in a press conference.

Rooney has been included in Roy Hodgson's England squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland next week.
