Gary Pallister urges Manchester United fans to ease pressure on Adnan Januzaj

Gary Pallister believes that Manchester United fans should refrain from putting pressure on young winger Adnan Januzaj.

Former Manchester United defender Gary Pallister has called on supporters not to "heap too much pressure" on Adnan Januzaj's shoulders.

The 18-year-old has impressed manager David Moyes this season following a double strike against Sunderland in the Premier League on October 5.

However, Pallister believes that it will not help the youngster in his development if too much is expected of him too soon.

"You can't get too excited about him, and it's easy to," The Independent quotes Pallister as saying. "At Old Trafford and Manchester United, it's quite easy to see these players and all of a sudden, he's the new George Best or the new Ryan Giggs.

"At a young age like that, you don't want to heap too much pressure on him. You have got to let him develop in his own time. He isn't going to play week in, week out, I don't think, but he's making an impact and he has got everybody at Old Trafford really excited about the future and what he can bring to the team."

Januzaj signed a new deal at Old Trafford last month.
