Real Madrid will reportedly sell Gareth Bale in the summer, regardless of his performances between now and the end of the season.

Gareth Bale cannot do anything between now and the end of the season to convince Real Madrid's board to stick with him, according to a report.

The Wales international has endured 12 disappointing months at the Bernabeu, having lost the support of some of his teammates and fallen out with fans.

Bale offered hope of a fresh start by scoring in Zinedine Zidane's first game back in charge earlier this month, but he supposedly does not feature in the Frenchman's plans moving forward.

Spanish outlet AS reports that the 29-year-old will be sold at the end of the season regardless of his performances over the next couple of months.

Madrid hope that Bale will attract bids from a number of clubs as they want to make him their biggest sale of a busy summer.

Manchester United are rumoured to be weighing up a move to bring the ex-Tottenham Hotspur star back to the Premier League.
