Nick Powell's long-term future in the game has reportedly been throw into doubt due to the Manchester United midfielder losing his appetite for football.
The 21-year-old moved to Old Trafford from Crewe Alexandra in the summer of 2012 and had been tipped by Sir Alex Ferguson to forge a successful career.
Powell has not played for Man United since their 4-0 defeat to MK Dons in the League Cup at the start of last season, however, and is currently on the sidelines recovering from a serious knee injury.
The attacker's contract with the former Premier League champions will expire at the end of this season and according to The Sunday People, he has become 'disillusioned with football'.
Powell, who has made just three starts for Man United in the last three years, has had loan spells with Wigan Athletic and Leicester City, but the latter ended when then Foxes boss Nigel Pearson became frustrated with the player's attitude.
