Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has stated that he wants to surpass Bobby Charlton as the club's record goal scorer.
Charlton struck 249 goals for the Red Devils during his spell at the club, while Rooney currently has 168 goals to his name.
"Just seen I'm sixth on the all-time scoring records at Manchester United. Not sure if it's true but if it is I am very proud," Rooney tweeted.
"My aim is to win more trophies and become all-time leading scorer at the club. It would be amazing...81 more!"
Rooney, 26, has scored 21 goals in 28 games this season.
