Luke Shaw: Win over Arsenal would give Manchester United "a massive boost"

Luke Shaw feels that a win for Manchester United over Arsenal could lift the team ahead of the Christmas period.

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw believes that a victory away at Arsenal this evening would give his side "a massive boost".

The Red Devils, who have not won on the road this season, have been in inconsistent form since Louis van Gaal took charge in the summer.

However, ahead of the traditionally hectic Christmas period, Shaw has insisted that claiming three points at the Emirates Stadium could have a positive impact on upcoming encounters.

"This one result could give us a massive boost of confidence and that could change the whole buzz around the place. It would give us an incentive to go on and pick up maximum points in the busy Christmas period ahead," the 19-year-old told MUTV.

United have lost just one of their previous 14 meetings with the Gunners.
