Daniel Levy is reportedly concerned that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not yet been named Manchester United's new boss as questions remain over Mauricio Pochettino's future.

Tottenham Hotspur chiefs are reportedly still fearful that Manchester United could pounce for manager Mauricio Pochettino ahead of next season.

Pochettino was the bookies' favourite to succeed Jose Mourinho in the Old Trafford dugout, only for caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make a stunning impact during his short time in charge.

Solskjaer started off his interim tenure with 10 wins from 11 matches, but the Red Devils' momentum has dried up somewhat following back-to-back defeats to Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League and FA Cup respectively.

The Norwegian is still widely expected to get the job on a permanent basis, though until an announcement is made questions will continue to be asked over the future of Pochettino.

According to The Mirror, chairman Daniel Levy is concerned about the lack of official word from United as he feels it means Pochettino is still in the running to take over from the summer.

United would have to pay £50m to Tottenham to free the 47-year-old from his long-term contract, which he only signed last May.
