Premier League in numbers: Week 30

Sports Mole looks back on the 30th round of Premier League matches with a selection of facts and figures from each encounter.

Manchester City 3-0 West Bromwich Albion

Brazilian midfielder Fernando scored what was the 1,000th Premier League goal in Man City's history.

Also among the scorers for the champions was Wilfried Bony, who found the net for the first time since his switch from Swansea City.

Gareth McAuley was dismissed after 89 seconds, which was the quickest red card of the season.


Aston Villa 0-1 Swansea City

Tim Sherwood's Villa have scored only 11 goals in their 15 home Premier League outings this term.

The game was also the 17th time this season that Villa have failed to find the net.

The victory was the fifth that the Swans have achieved on the road.


Newcastle 1-2 Arsenal

The Gunners continued their recent positive form by recording their sixth Premier League win on the bounce.

Olivier Giroud was the match-winner, having taken his tally to nine goals in as many outings.

The hosting Magpies have lost four of their last five Premier League encounters.


Southampton 2-0 Burnley

Southampton have kept a Premier League-high 14 clean sheets this season.

One of their goalscorers - Shane Long - found the net for just the third time in the league since his summer move from Hull City.

Burnley have won only one of their 15 away matches so far, losing nine.


Stoke City 1-2 Crystal Palace

Visiting Palace have recovered 18 points from losing positions this season - more than any other Premier League club.

However, despite the victory, the Eagles have kept just one clean sheet under Alan Pardew's management.

Striker Mame Biram Diouf scored his ninth goal of the season in Stoke colours.


Tottenham Hotspur 4-3 Leicester City

Harry Kane has scored 29 goals in all competitions, 19 of which have come in the Premier League.

The striker became the first Spurs player to score a Premier League hat-trick since Gareth Bale back in December 2012.

Also among the goals was Leicester striker Jamie Vardy, who found the net for the first time since September 2014.


West Ham United 1-0 Sunderland

Only Aston Villa (17) have drawn more blanks in the Premier League this season than Sunderland (15).

The Black Cats have won only once in the Premier League in 2015.

The victory ended a poor run of form for the Hammers, who had failed to win on their previous seven Premier League outings.


Liverpool 1-2 Manchester United

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard was on the pitch for just 38 seconds before he was red carded for a stamp on Ander Herrera.

It was the 16th red card to have been dished out in the Premier League meetings between these two sides.

The win was only the second that United have recorded at Anfield since 2007.


Hull City 2-3 Chelsea

Substitute Loic Remy scored the winning goal for Chelsea with what was his first touch of the game.

Diego Costa, who was replaced by Remy, scored his 20th goal of the season in all competitions.

Hull's two goals were scored within the space of 74 seconds in the first half.


Queens Park Rangers 1-2 Everton

Aaron Lennon scored his first goal for Everton since his loan switch from Tottenham Hotspur in January.

His goal helped the Toffees to record their second away victory of 2015.

QPR are yet to collect a point at home under the guidance of manager Chris Ramsey.
