Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic are not in Manchester United's starting lineup to face Aston Villa.

Manchester United will be without the experienced centre-back pairing of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic for this evening's Premier League fixture against Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

Ferdinand has been given a place among the substitutes, while captain Vidic has missed out on a place in the squad altogether.

Their places have gone to Jonny Evans and Phil Jones, while Ryan Giggs and Shinji Kagawa have been included in the United midfield.

Meanwhile, visiting Villa have recalled Gabriel Agbonlahor following a muscular injury, with Charles N'Zogbia given a role wide on the right.
