Team News: Wayne Rooney returns for Manchester United

Wayne Rooney returns from suspension to captain Manchester United in the derby clash with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Wayne Rooney has returned to the Manchester United starting lineup for this afternoon's derby with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Elsewhere, Adnan Januzaj has retained his place on the wing, while Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo will continue their centre-back partnership.

Hosting City are without playmaker David Silva, which has brought Stevan Jovetic into the side to partner Sergio Aguero up front.

At the back, Manuel Pellegrini has decided to go with Martin Demichelis at the expense of £32m summer signing Eliaquim Mangala.
