Ronald Araujo's new contract with Barcelona will reportedly run until June 2026 and will include a release clause of €1bn (£840m).
The centre-back's future has been the subject of much speculation in recent months, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all said to be keen to bring him to the Premier League.
However, Barcelona had a breakthrough in contract talks with the Uruguay international earlier this month, and an agreement between the two parties is believed to have been reached.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Araujo's fresh deal at Camp Nou will run until June 2026, while there will be a release clause of €1bn (£840m).
The 23-year-old has been a vital player for Xavi's side during the 2021-22 campaign, making 38 appearances, contributing four goals in the process.
Araujo picked up a knee injury in Thursday's La Liga clash with Real Sociedad, though, with the South American now seemingly facing a period on the sidelines.
The defender has made 77 appearances for Barcelona's first team since arriving at the club in 2018.
