Arsenal eye Wissam Ben Yedder as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang replacement?

Arsenal could move for Monaco striker Wissam Ben Yedder this summer as a replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to a report.

Arsenal could reportedly move for Monaco striker Wissam Ben Yedder this summer as a replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The speculation surrounding Aubameyang's future continues to gather pace, with the Gabon international's contract at the Emirates Stadium due to expire next summer.

The 30-year-old is allegedly keen to leave the Gunners ahead of the 2020-21 campaign in search of pastures new, and the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid have all been linked with his services.

According to football.london, should the former Borussia Dortmund attacker move on this summer then Mikel Arteta's side could attempt to sign Ben Yedder as a replacement.

The 29-year-old has been in impressive form for Monaco during the 2019-20 season, scoring 19 times and contributing nine assists in 31 appearances in all competitions.

Ben Yedder, who netted 70 times in 138 games for Sevilla before arriving at the Stade Louis II, has a contract with his Ligue 1 side until the summer of 2024.
