Manchester United attacker Bruno Fernandes has reportedly put talks with the club over a new contract on hold.
The 27-year-old has scored seven times and registered nine assists in 26 appearances for the Red Devils this season, including two goals against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
Fernandes still has three-and-a-half years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford, but there have been claims that Man United are attempting to sign him to an improved deal.
According to The Athletic, the Portugal international turned down an offer from the club in the autumn and will not resume discussions until May.
The report claims that the former Sporting Lisbon playmaker wants parity with the biggest earners at the club, with Cristiano Ronaldo, David de Gea, Harry Maguire, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani all said to earn more than the £100,000 a week that he collects.
Fernandes is allegedly keen to see how the second half of the campaign unfolds before deciding whether to sign another deal with the 20-time English champions.
Man United will be aiming to give their top-four hopes in the Premier League a boost when they take on Brentford on Wednesday night.
