Campbell move to Arsenal on hold
Saprissa starlet Joel Campbell will consider his future after the World Cup.

Saprissa striker Joel Campbell has snubbed a move to Arsenal in order to focus on the Under-20 World Cup.

The Costa Rican youngster was tipped to sign for the Gunners in the coming weeks. However, the 19-year-old has refused to make a decision on his future until after the tournament, which is finalised on August 20.

The teen’s father told La Nacion: “We've decided we will not sign anything yet. We have other offers on the table that are being analysed, but nothing's done. Let's negotiate after the World Cup.

"We hope to go to the World Cup and that Joel plays well without pressure. We'll see what happens."

Premier League champions Manchester United are also rumoured to be in the running to clinch the starlet’s signature.
