Chelsea, Manchester City 'enter James Rodriguez race'

Chelsea and Manchester City reportedly join Manchester United in the race to sign James Rodriguez from Real Madrid, while PSG are thought to be preparing a bid.

Chelsea and Manchester City have both entered the race to sign Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez, according to reports.

The 24-year-old is expected to leave the Bernabeu this summer having failed to establish himself as a regular starter under Zinedine Zidane last season.

Manchester United have previously been heavily linked with the Colombia international, but El Confidencial now reports that both Chelsea and City are interested in bringing him to England.

However, the report goes on to say that Paris Saint-Germain are also in the running to sign the player and are preparing a big-money offer having already contacted his agent.

James scored eight goals and created 10 more in 32 appearances for Madrid last season and also helped his country to a third-place finish in the Copa America.
